Mr Macaroni defends Don Jazzy’s reputation following Wizkid’s controversial remark
Renowned comedian and actor, Mr Macaroni came to the defense of Don Jazzy’s reputation amidst recent criticisms from Wizkid, highlighting the significant impact the music producer’s influence has had on his career.
Wizkid’s recent remarks, particularly labeling Don Jazzy as an “influencer” in a derogatory manner while discussing Ladipoe, stirred controversy across social media platforms.
While some interpreted Wizkid’s comment as insulting, others attempted to downplay its significance. Mr Macaroni, however, emphasized that the context in which the term was used was undeniably disrespectful, and choosing to interpret it otherwise would amount to hypocrisy.
Mr Macaroni underscored Don Jazzy’s substantial positive contributions to the entertainment industry through his influence, citing his own experiences as evidence of the profound impact Don Jazzy has had on him and others.
Mr Macaroni wrote …
“Donjazzy is perhaps the biggest Entertainment Influencer in Africa. And the beautiful thing is that his influence cuts across. From music to content, films, brands, etc.
However, we would all be hypocrites to say that the context in which he was called an influencer isn’t disrespectful to everything he has done and is still doing for the Nigerian Music Industry.
An absolute legend. He promotes Music artists even outside his record label. Gives free advice and visibility to up-and-coming artists, and shows love to everyone irrespective of their status. I am also a beneficiary of his phenomenal influence!
Don Baba J!!!! Your Influence Choke!!!”
