“Music industry gatekeepers are blacklisting me” – Oxlade laments
Singer Ikuforiji Olaitan, widely recognized as Oxlade, alleges that influential figures in the music industry are deliberately excluding him. He asserts that specifically established peers are leveraging his vulnerabilities and that certain industry insiders are intentionally blocking his access to opportunities.
Oxlade contends that he is facing opposition from some of his peers who are mimicking his unique musical approach. In a recent freestyle on Glitch Africa, the artist expressed his frustrations.
“Many boys don dey sound like me and still many boys don dey backbit me. Why me? Some gatekeepers don dey boycott me. Some OGs don dey blackmail me.”
