Reality star Mercy Eke shared her reactions to learning that she would be playing the role of a prostitute in ‘Shanty town’.
Mercy Eke was among the stars cast in the Netflix series Shanty Town. She shared her feelings when she was given the role of a prostitute.
Describing her character as Jackie in the movie, Mercy Eke said;
“Jackie is a promising sex worker [laughs] There is no way you will put it. Jackie is a sex worker that got herself mixed up with Scar and got herself entangled with things that are not her business.”
Speaking about her role and how she felt when she was given the movie role to play, Mercy said;
“I just said to myself you just have to be Jackie and play Jackie. It was a sweet character it’s something everybody can relate to in our society today. Everybody can totally relate to Jackie. So when I read the script, I was like it is what I can do. Yeah, let me just go and show my acting skills with Jackie.”
