“My twin brother arrested me with EFCC” – Rudeboy shares more on arrest
Nigerian music sensation Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, has revealed that his twin brother Peter Okoye had him arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a recent interview with City105.5FM, Rudeboy disclosed that the arrest took place in December and was primarily due to his lifestyle, which his brother disapproved of.
He described the experience, as facing a potential 20-year prison sentence, leaving him perplexed and questioning, “What did I do?” Rudeboy claimed that his brother’s petition led to his detention, during which his account statements were scrutinized.
Rudeboy expressed relief that he was not involved in fraudulent activity, which would have been devastating for him.
Paul Okoye further stated that approximately a month ago, a family meeting was held, and Rudeboy was cleared of all claims by EFCC authorities.
Despite being pronounced innocent, Peter Okoye refused to apologize for his acts. Rudeboy explained the charges to their different lives, claiming that he is a businessman who saves money while his brother spends recklessly.
The EFCC investigation indicated that Peter Okoye misappropriated Rudeboy’s funds for personal purchases dating back to 2006/2007.
