Netizens continue to unfollow Naira Marley amidst speculations surrounding Mohbad’s death
In light of the controversial videos and rumors circulating about Mohbad’s alleged demise on social media, Naira Marley, known for his provocative statements and street-themed music in the entertainment industry, has experienced a significant decline in his social media following.
This sudden decrease in his fan base is largely linked to the controversies surrounding his perceived involvement in the tragic passing of fellow artist Mohbad.
The decrease in Naira Marley’s follower count has been quite noticeable, dropping from 7.4 million to 7.3 million just yesterday. Presently, it stands at 7.2 million followers.
The trend of social media users unfollowing Naira Marley seems to be an ongoing one.
One of the primary factors contributing to this loss of followers is the controversy surrounding Mohbad’s untimely death. Since the promising young artist’s passing, suspicions and accusations have cast a shadow over Naira Marley.
The situation escalated further when a viral video depicting Mohbad being assaulted prior to his demise intensified the scrutiny of Naira Marley’s role in the tragic events.
Additionally, the situation took a more serious turn when a petition to ban Naira Marley’s music label, Marlian, garnered over 50,000 signatures.
This petition, initiated in the wake of Mohbad’s death, has gained substantial traction. It underscores the level of public concern and dissatisfaction regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Further fueling the controversy, Sam Larry, an aide and close friend to Naira Marley, deactivated his Instagram page after being exposed for his involvement in the assault on Mohbad.
The video that surfaced online depicted Mohbad shooting a music video with Zlatan while in a wheelchair. Sam Larry interrupted the shoot, brandishing a machete and other weapons.
Naira Marley attempted to address the situation by releasing an official statement expressing his desire to uncover the truth about Mohbad’s death. In the statement, he spoke the absence of animosity between him and the late artist, referring to Mohbad as a brother.
However, a recent press release from Mohbad’s team contradicts this claim, revealing that Mohbad had taken legal action against Marlian Music, Naira Marley’s record label, to secure unpaid royalties.
