Nigerian actress Shola Subair, also known as Sholly Cutie, has faced online backlash after sharing her birthday photos, with accusations that she had photoshopped her head onto the body of an Iraqi influencer.
The Yoruba movie star’s attempt to celebrate her birthday with new pictures quickly sparked controversy when sharp-eyed social media users noticed that the images didn’t appear to be her own.
The outrage intensified after it was discovered that the photos seemed to belong to an Iraqi influencer.
Reports claim that Subair edited her head onto the influencer’s body, presenting the altered images as her own.
Critics have slammed the actress for creating a deceptive image of herself and questioned her self-confidence.
In response to the widespread criticism, Sholly Cutie has since removed the controversial photos from her social media accounts.
“Which Nigerian actress is this?? Photoshopped your head on another lady’s pictures and post them as yours?? People dey drink shamelessness,” the post read.
