“Not in my prayer points” – Ini Edo debunks marriage rumour
Nollywood star Ini Edo has responded to recent rumors about her possible marriage, which were sparked by an engagement-related post in September.
The actress had shared a photo of herself dressed in a traditional Efik bridal gown, causing many to speculate that she was engaged and getting ready for her wedding. Her caption, which referenced love and encouraged fans to continue believing in happiness, added to the speculation.
However, in a recent interview with Premium Times, Ini Edo clarified the situation, explaining that the post was not an engagement announcement, but rather a promotion for her upcoming four-part series, My Fairytale Wedding.
When asked if she anticipated having a real-life fairytale wedding someday, the actress revealed that marriage is no longer a priority for her.
“I’m not crazy about marriage; I’m crazy about having a solid relationship. I’m not hoping, and it’s not any of my prayer points,” Ini stated
It is worth noting that Iniobong Edo, who was previously married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina in 2008 before their divorce in 2014, now focuses on building meaningful relationships rather than chasing the idea of marriage. Her comments have since put the rumours to rest while shedding light on her personal perspective on love and commitment.
