Opposition politicians set off coloured smoke flares in parliament
In an attempt to prevent the parliament from voting on the 2024 budget, opposition politicians in Albania ignited smoke flares and a fire within the legislative chamber.
Their protest aimed to denounce what they perceived as a growing trend of authoritarianism under the rule of the governing Socialist party.
