Popular radio presenter in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, Oriyomi Hamzat, has been arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ court for the alleged murder of a 17-year-old boy.
Hamzat was detained by the State’s police control after a dead body of a young boy was found in his car.
The dead boy was an orphan being raised within an unregistered orphanage home, supposedly owned by the suspect.
27-year-old Idowu Ibrahim, 23-year-old Taiwo Olaronke, Mohammed Bashir 3 1, also Yusuff Ajisafe, 23 were also arraigned in relation to the orphan’s murder.
The fee sheet, together with number mi/1248c/201, said that the five suspects were arraigned on two counts of murder and conspiracy.
The authorities prosecutor, ” Sunday Fatola, earlier told the court that Hamzat yet others on July 21, 2017, in about 4am, at the Oremeji Agugu field of Ibadan, conspired with each other to commit murder.
Fatola also said that the suspects unlawfully caused the death of this victim by inflicting injury on his head and body.
Even the magistrate, A. A. Adebisi, ordered that the accused be kept behind bars in the Agodi Prison pending the release of legal information from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
He also adjourned the matter till September 5, 2017.
