Peter Okoye set the record straight on arresting his twin brother, Paul with EFCC; drops bombshell revelation about his elder brother and his wife
Nigerian singer and dancer Peter Okoye, of the renowned music group Psquare, has addressed the allegations surrounding his supposed involvement in the arrest of his twin brother, Paul, by the EFCC.
Last month, Instagram blogger Cutie Juls claimed that Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, had been arrested by the EFCC. Paul later confirmed this, celebrating on Instagram after being cleared by the commission. He emphasized that he wasn’t a thief and that his wealth came from making good music.
In an interview, Paul discussed his relationship with his twin brother, revealing that Peter was responsible for the EFCC’s involvement in their affairs, leading to the arrest of both Paul and Jude in December 2023.
Peter has now clarified the situation, stating that he did not have Paul arrested. Instead, he filed a petition against their elder brother, Jude, accusing him of secretly diverting Psquare’s funds into a hidden account with the help of his wife. Peter added that he had specifically instructed his lawyers not to include Paul in the petition, as Paul was not involved.
Peter revealed that he was left speechless when he saw Paul’s interview, alleging that he had ordered EFCC to arrest him. He noted how he spoke to both Paul and Jude behind the scenes on settling the issue, but they didn’t give him a position answer, leaving him no choice but to file a petition against Jude.
“Let’s set the record straight together. Here is the full statement on the recent EFCC issue involving P-SQUARE and our former manager and elder brother, Jude Okoye.
I challenge PAUL, or anyone else, to produce any petition that I, Peter Okoye, my management, or my legal team ever filed against my twin brother PAUL or that even mentions his name.
