Police officer killed as Boko Haram terrorists ambush a convoy of Borno LG chairman
A Policeman was killed in an attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists on the convoy of Hon Asheikh Mamman Gadai, Chairman of Nganzai Local Government Area of Borno State.
Gajiram and Gajiganna were both involved in the incident on Wednesday, July 27th. The LG boss and his staff were on an official trip.
Mohammed Bashir Bukar (special assistant on media to the chairman), confirmed the attack last night in a statement. Gadai is now safe and sound, but a member of his convoy was killed in the bomb blast.
“Hon. Asheikh Mamman Gadai is safe, sound, and healthy. Please disregard the fake news being speculated on social media that the Chairman of Nganzai LG Hon. Asheikh Mamman Gadai was abducted by Bokoharam,” the statement read.
“The incident occurred today along Gajiram-Gajiganna Way. The security operatives protecting the convoy of Chairman were ambushed by Boko Haram and one policeman was killed in a bomb blast. The general public should know that no one was taken, hostage. We pray that Allah will guide us and protect our hearts. Aameen Tsumma Aameen!!!” He added.
