Putin says he prefers Joe Biden over Donald Trump in the White House
Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed a preference for a Joe Biden presidency over Donald Trump leading up to the November US election.
Putin cited Biden as the more experienced and predictable candidate, remarks that are likely to provoke attention.
In contrast to his previous praise of Trump as “outstanding and talented” before the 2016 presidential race, Putin has become critical of the former president.
Biden, who has long been a vocal critic of Putin, famously referred to him as a “killer” prior to the Ukraine invasion.
Putin also commented on his recent interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson, expressing disappointment that the questions were not sufficiently incisive.
