Rema drags Mavin Records for using him for ‘fake’ PR
Afrobeat sensation Rema recently embarked on a spree of venting on his social media platform, openly criticizing his record label, Mavin Records, for what he deemed as “fake” PR tactics.
Just a few hours prior, Mavin Records had taken to their Twitter account to announce that Rema was currently engaged in a new project. Surprised by this announcement, Rema retweeted the post with a tone of disbelief, questioning, “SMH, what’s going on here?”
Expressing his frustration further, Rema took to his own social media page to call out Mavin Records for their perceived lack of originality, urging them to refrain from leveraging his name for attention through what he labeled as disingenuous PR tactics.
He tweeted, “Labels get creative, stop trying to clone me. No new music. sorry. I’m too big for fake PR bye!”
