Funke Akindele, the celebrated Nollywood actress, stirred up social media with excitement following a surprising gift of a brand new car at her event.
On Wednesday evening, a gathering named “A Toast To Funke Akindele” took place, commemorating the actress’s remarkable feat of grossing over a billion in Cinemas.
The event, in partnership with GAC Motor Nigeria and FilmOne Entertainment, attracted a glittering array of guests, including Iyabo Ojo, Eniola Ajao, Sola Sobowale, Taaooma, Bisola Aiyeola, Groovy, Timini, Diadem, Adunni Ade, Yvonne Jegede, Simi Drey, Kehinde Bankole, Omowunmi Dada, the cast of “A Tr!be Called Judah,” and many others.
The pinnacle of the night arrived when Funke Akindele was pleasantly surprised with a brand-new car courtesy of GAC Motor, adding a spark of thrill to the evening.
However, the car gift sparked criticism from some social media users who argued that a billionaire capable of affording a car does not merit such a gesture.
