Nigerian songstress Simi has disclosed the amusing nickname given to her by her husband, Adekunle Gold, at home. In a video, the mother of one, who has recently begun wearing glasses, captured the moment her husband playfully referred to her as ‘Ojiugo’.
Drawing from Yoruba culture, AG Baby playfully teased her about her new choice of wearing medicated glasses indoors. Simi’s response served as a piece of advice, urging people not to marry their close friends, as only friends can sometimes exhibit a lack of respect after tying the knot.
In her words:
“I know you people are always saying marry your friend but the thing is that only your friend will disrespect you like this. So if you want respect and someone that keeps you on that pedestal, marry your fan.”
