Singer Tiwa Savage commemorates her late father’s posthumous birthday
Tiwa Savage, the renowned Nigerian singer affectionately known as the Queen of Afrobeat, recently commemorated her late father’s posthumous birthday on her Instagram page.
In a heartfelt Instagram story, she extended birthday wishes to her dad and offered prayers for his continued peace in the afterlife.
The talented artist, who is also a mother, had shared the news of her father’s passing on July 19, 2021, highlighting that he had a peaceful transition despite the challenges he faced in the past.
On that day she wrote;
“Early hours of this morning, you made a peaceful transition. You fought till the very end, you really fought Daddy. It’s been rough for you these past couple of years but you are resting now. This is tough on me, I’m so numb, so weak. Rest In Perfect Peace my King. I love you daddy.”
To commemorate her late father on his posthumous birthday, she shared a picture of him and her and attached a caption that read;
“Happy birthday daddy. Continue to rest in perfect peace”
The singer who also turned a new age on February 5 expressed her gratitude to everyone who celebrated her on her birthday.
She wrote: “Thank you for all the love and messages. I’m trying to respond to all. Yesterday you all made me feel truly special ”
