Six traders arraigned for allegedly assaulting and blackmailing Lizzy Anjorin
Six traders were brought before the Chief Magistrate Court of Lagos Island Local Government on charges of assaulting Lizzy Anjorin.
It was previously reported by blogger Gistlover that Lizzy Anjorin was detained at the market after allegedly trying to buy gold using a fake bank transfer.
According to the police, the alleged assault occurred on Monday at 1:30 p.m. inside Oba Akintoye Market on Lagos Island, involving the six defendants and two others who are currently evading capture.
During the court proceedings, Sola Samuel, the prosecution, informed the court that Lizzy Anjorin sustained serious physical injuries due to the actions of the six traders and the two individuals who are believed to be at large, allegedly conspiring to push and drag her.
