Skales goes ballistic over FC’s toxicity, accuses Wizkid of enabling it
Nigerian singer Skales has voiced his frustration over persistent trolling from fans of Afrobeat superstar Wizkid.
Sharing his thoughts on the X platform, Skales accused Wizkid of either ignoring or enabling the behavior, which he says has caused him significant distress.
In his posts, Skales admitted that the constant online harassment has affected him deeply. While he strives to stay focused on his career and avoid conflict, he made it clear that his patience is not unlimited.
“Now if I vex start to dey rant, them go say na me dey look for trouble. I’m human. How do you want me to ignore this, and for how long? You can love your Wiz and let me be. I don’t want anything from him. I love my life and pace, and I’m doing amazing,” Skales wrote.
He further alleged that Wizkid might be aware of the toxic behaviour of his fanbase, popularly known as “Wizkid FC,” and implied that the singer could even be financially supporting their actions.
“To think that he has seen this and enjoys it and probably bankrolls these people… No wahala! I can only keep my cool for some time. Make I push my show first. I want peace, but war is an option too,” he added.
Skales urged fans to respect boundaries and warned of potential fallout if the trolling continues.
Notably, fellow singer, Tiwa Savage previously called out Wizkid’s fanbase for their negative online behaviour.
