Slovakia: Over 65,000 people join anti-government protests.
Approximately 65,000 people have attended anti-government protests held in Slovakia for the third consecutive week.
Outrage on the killing of journalist Jan Kuciak along with his fiancée Martina Kusnirova motivated Prime Minister Robert Fico to resign on Thursday.
However, demonstrators say Mr Fico will continue to exercise power and therefore are calling for early elections.
Mr Fico said his coalition government had a mandate to serve its own full four-year term, which ends in 2020.
Mr Kuciak was investigating alleged political corruption connected to Italian organised crime.
His final unfinished story was published following his death in late February, stoking public anger against a government widely seen as failing to tackle corruption.
There have been protests in 35 cities across the country on Friday. Protests in the second city of Kosice appear to have been smaller than last week.
