Sokoto NSCDC rearrests suspect linked with Ansaru terror cell
Alhaji Koire was rearrested alongside his accomplice Buba Magaji in a forest in the Silame Local Government Area of Sokoto State in a covert operation led by the state commandant of the NSCDC.
Alhaji Koire and his accomplice Buba Magaji were remanded in a forest of Silame Local Government Area in Sokoto State, in a covert operation by the NSCDC commandant.
Mohammed Saleh-Dada, the State Commandant of Corps, stated that an investigation had revealed that more than 200-foot soldiers were working in terrorist camps in Tureta and Dange/Shuni local government areas in Sokoto State.
Dada further revealed that it is suspected that the terrorist has links with the Ansaru dreaded terrorist cell, terrorizing Shiroro, Kagara, and Birnin Gwari areas in Niger and Kaduna State.
He also said that gang members of the suspected terrorist had earlier reached out to the command offering a bribe of N10m to free their arrested leader, but failed to turn up for fear they will be arrested.
The Commandant said the terror kingpin will be prosecuted in court at the conclusion of the investigation.
