Solidstar shares journey with drugs
Nigerian vocalist, Joshua Iniyezo, known widely as Solidstar, has opened up about his distressing journey since becoming involved with narcotics in 2021.
In a poignant revelation, the singer was spotted last year wandering the streets, appearing mentally unstable.
His sibling posted a video, disclosing that Solidstar’s mental health struggles had been ongoing and the family had attempted to keep it under wraps, but it had spiraled out of control.
Appearing visibly healthier and more composed in a recent installment of the Honest Bunch podcast, Solidstar shared that he was introduced to Ice, a highly addictive substance, by some acquaintances back in 2021.
He candidly acknowledged that the drugs had significantly diminished the quality of his life.
The ‘baby jollof’ crooner narrated how he started hearing voices in his head telling him he was a king and he shouldn’t pay for anything.
He started trekking long distances and living a subpar life, despite his celebrity status due to his unfortunate addiction.
