“Stop having babies that you can’t raise” Filmmaker Biodun Stephen
In a recent video, filmmaker Biodun Stephen delivered a cautionary message to young girls, advising them against having multiple children, especially if they are unmarried.
She emphasized the need for proper self-control, urging young women to be mindful of their actions and avoid bringing children into the world whom they cannot adequately care for. Stephen highlighted the societal issue of neglected children and drew parallels with the current economic situation.
On February 9, 2024, Stephen also issued a public service announcement directed at doctors in Nigeria. She urged medical professionals to demonstrate more compassion and patience towards their patients, noting a concerning trend of impatience among doctors.
Stephen stressed the importance of fostering warmer relationships between doctors and patients, citing her observations of cold attitudes in many Nigerian hospitals.
She emphasized that patients also feel uncomfortable in hospital settings and encouraged doctors to consider their patients’ perspectives.
Recall that back in October of 2023, Biodun Stephen had recounted how her mother was murdered by a drunk driver. The film director had taken to the X platform to reveal this unfortunate incident as she expressed how much had changed since her mother’s demise.
