”The public will never respect you” – Kate Henshaw recounts her experience with the Nigerian Police
The Nigerian Police have now found their way into Kate Henshaw’s bad books after she shared details of an unpleasant encounter with them.
According to her account, she was driving along a roadside in Oniru, Lagos State, when she noticed a police van parked nearby.
After being stopped by the police, she rolled down her window to inquire about the issue. The officers accused her of driving against traffic (‘one-way’) and violating traffic rules.
Henshaw explained that many drivers had been using the one-way because part of the road was under repair. She added that if the road was indeed reopened, the public should have been notified before the police set up there to catch offenders.
The actress shared that the situation escalated into a prolonged argument, leading her to step out of her car to speak directly with the officers.
It was at that point that some of them recognized her and asked that she should be allowed to leave.
Kate Henshaw’s main concern was for people who weren’t prominent figures like herself. She was concerned how the exchange would’ve turned out if she wasn’t popular.
Going forward, Kate Henshaw said that the attitude of the Police is the reason why the public would never respect them.
Netizens were in full support of what Kate Henshaw said, and many of them gave their input on the matter.
