Three arraigned for for invading Osun palace with machetes and charms
Osun police command has arraigned 3 people before Osun State Magistrates’ court in Osogbo, for chanting war song at the palace Alawo of Awo.
Adebayo Akinsilo (40), Oloyede Sikiru (46), and Oloyede Haibib (28) were all charged with felony, conspiracy, breaching of the public order and threat to life. They were accused of entering the palace at about 10am on August 26th with the intent of removing Oba Abdulrazaq Taiwo Adebooye, the Alawo of Awo.
John Idoko, the police prosecutor, stated that the suspects were armed with machetes and axes, charms, and other dangerous weapons and threatened to kill Oba Abdulrazaq Tawo Adegboye. They also unlawfully behaved in a way likely to disturb the public peace.
The case was adjourned until October 12 after the defendants pleaded not guilty.
