‘Today is the darkest day of my life’ Singer Seyi mourns the loss of his mother

Popular Nigerian singer Balogun Afolabi, better known by his stage name Seyi Vibez has lost his mother.

The singer made the sad announcement Thursday night (16 March), where he referred to her as his ancestor.

On his Instagram, the singer shared the following: “Today is the Darkest Day of my Life… March 16. I lost my ancestor! Love you till I go six feet, mum. RIP”

At the time of writing, no official statement has been made. Therefore, the cause of death is unknown.

After his post, lots of Nigerian entertainers and colleagues in the music industry and beyond have stormed the comment section to sympathize with him.

Seyi Vibez, started pursuing his passion in singing, by making covers to his favorite African songs at the time, before he abandoned a corporate career for a life behind the microphone.
