The video, released by CNN after obtaining footage from the hotel’s CCTV cameras, has provoked strong reactions on social media.
VeryDarkMan condemned the American singer and stated that similar behavior is common in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
He alleged that Carter Efe has also been abusive towards his girlfriend and baby mama, Nuella, claiming that Efe has mentally manipulated her to the point where she feels unable to leave him.
VeryDarkMan suggested that interviewing women who have dated Nigerian male celebrities would reveal the prevalence of such violence.
He advised women to always run at the first sign of domestic abuse as such a man will never change regardless of how many times he promises to.
