Veteran singer, Mike Ejeagha in tears as his song from 14 years ago goes viral
Veteran Nigerian singer, Gentleman Mike Ejeagha, becomes emotional as a song he released in 2010 gains renewed attention thanks to skit maker Brain Jotter.
The highlife song, “Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche,” was released 14 years ago and faded into obscurity until recently revived.
This resurgence began when popular content creator and actor, Brain Jotter, featured the song in one of his skits, creating a dance move synchronized to the music.
On Instagram, the first video Brain Jotter made with Gentleman Mike Ejeagha’s song garnered an impressive 659,000 likes, while on TikTok it amassed over 11 million views.
The music and Brain Jotter’s dance have since gone viral, spreading across Nigeria and even reaching some Asian countries.
Since the song’s resurgence, some content creators have paid tribute to Mike Ejeagha. In one video, the elderly musician was moved to tears when presented with an envelope, presumably containing money, by TikToker @anyigoldtv, who informed him of his song’s newfound success.
It was an emotional moment for the highlight singer who rained prayers and appreciated the effort of being contacted.
