Nollywood actress Anita Joseph has urged fans of May Edochie, the estranged wife of Yul Edochie, not to start a GoFundMe campaign to address the issue of their children’s school fees.
May’s lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, recently disclosed that Yul, who practices polygamy, has stopped supporting or paying for their children’s education, leaving May to cover the expenses for their three kids on her own.
According to Ugwuonye, Yul advised his daughter to ask her mother for financial assistance, stating that she earns more than he does.
Following this revelation, fans and supporters proposed setting up a GoFundMe account to help May with her children’s school fees.
Anita Joseph, however, advised fans to support May by purchasing her products and keeping her in their prayers instead of donating money. She cautioned that in the future, some people might use the donations against May, claiming they contributed to her children’s school fees and feeling entitled to certain opinions about the family.
“Just buy her products and put her in your prayers, pls that enough Biko nu. Because ndi Instagram tomorrow now, some will say na so they help pay school fees biko nu Dalu shallom,” she stated while many agreed to her point in the comments.
