Why I don’t consider an actor who joins politics as an actor – Funsho Adeolu
Funsho Adeolu, the acclaimed Nollywood actor, firmly stated that any Nigerian actor who ventures into politics should no longer be considered a true actor.
In an interview, Adeolu elaborated on his stance regarding actors transitioning into politics. He emphasized that the essence of being an actor revolves around embodying integrity, a virtue he believes is compromised upon entering politics.
Adeolu argued that the nature of politics necessitates dishonesty, thereby conflicting with the values inherent to acting. He expressed skepticism about actors’ ability to uphold their noble intentions once they delve into the realm of politics.
Furthermore, Adeolu disclosed his decision to refrain from engaging with actor associations, citing similar concerns about the potential compromise of integrity within such circles.
