Wumi Toriola brags as she breaks Toyin Abraham’s records, races Funke Akindele
Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has achieved a remarkable success with her film Queen Lateefah, which premiered in cinemas in September, breaking multiple records in the industry.
Congratulations have been pouring in as Toriola surpassed Toyin Abraham’s recent cinema records with her debut film. Queen Lateefah has grossed ₦350 million within two months of its release, surpassing the ₦302 million earned by Toyin Abraham’s Malaika.
The film is now poised to challenge one of Funke Akindele’s impressive records, including those set by A Tribe Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto: The Saga.
Sharing her milestone, Toriola proudly announced her rise in the industry, celebrating her position as the 7th highest-grossing film on the list.
