Wumi Toriola slams trolls who criticized her over recent interview
Nollywood star Wumi Toriola has addressed critics who have been scrutinizing her recent conversation with fellow actress Iyabo Ojo.
Toriola, in an interview on Iyabo Ojo TV, discussed her unconventional decision to prioritize having more children with her ex-husband over other men.
Acknowledging their current co-parenting arrangement for their son Zion, Toriola emphasized their successful collaboration in raising him. However, in a now-deleted statement, she responded to trolls, asserting that they have targeted the wrong person.
Toriola pointed out that while she occasionally engages with criticism, she also chooses to ignore it, distinguishing herself from the typical public figure.
Her post read: “Sometimes, trolls just step on the wrong feet. I am not your everyday public figure. Sometimes, I ignore other times I react… I am also human. Thank you for easing the pain. Thank you all and to the “fija folorun ja crew. I listened after 20 minutes. He has also apologized.”
In the caption, Wumi wrote: “I am not your “mature” public figure, I don’t drag it. Thank you, beautiful people, nobody will take your peace of mind.”
It is worth nothing that the actress, who wed in 2018, disclosed that arguments over him shoving her celebrity in her face caused the marriage to fail.
