Yomi Fabiyi cries out over the brutal attack on colleague Baba Lawori
Yomi Fabiyi has spoken out about the brutal attack on his colleague, Ibrahim Bello Sanyay, also known as Baba Lawori.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the Yoruba actor had called on Nigerians for help after being brutally attacked by an aide of Lagos socialite Koko Zaria.
In an Instagram post, Fabiyi recounted how Baba Lawori was performing as a Master of Ceremony at an event on Idumu Day when a stranger approached him, claiming that Koko Zaria wanted to see him. Unknowingly, it was a set-up. Upon meeting Koko Zaria, he was questioned for not acknowledging him. Despite Baba Lawori’s apology and promise to make amends, one of Koko Zaria’s associates smashed a bottle on his head, causing him to lose consciousness and become covered in blood.
Fabiyi shared a video on Instagram of the injured actor being forced into a car, questioning how long his colleagues and Nigerians would remain silent about the incident. Expressing his fear for Baba Lawori’s life due to the severity of the head injury, Fabiyi revealed that he was also dealing with his health issues but could not ignore his colleague’s plight.
He further questioned if one must always protest before getting the right things.
