Yomi Fabiyi reacts as NGO set to hold solidarity assembly for Mohbad ahead of his first remembrance
Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has responded to an upcoming solidarity assembly being organized by an NGO in honor of the late singer Ilerioluwa Promise, widely known as Mohbad.
To refresh your memory, Mohbad, a former artist under Naira Marley’s record label, tragically passed away at the age of 27 under mysterious circumstances on September 12, 2023. After his death, several videos surfaced showing him being bullied by his former boss and associates. The Nigerian police are still investigating the cause of his death.
In anticipation of Mohbad’s first remembrance in a few days, the Break The Silence Foundation is hosting a solidarity assembly for the singer’s fans and supporters in front of The High Court (Coroner Inquest) in Ikorodu, Lagos, on September 11th. Fabiyi mentioned that the gathering will continue the call for justice for the late artist.
The organizers emphasized that volunteers should refrain from assembling on the field, and there should be no music, noise, or chanting in front of the court. Fabiyi reiterated that the event is intended to be a peaceful movement in pursuit of justice.
Reacting to it via his Instagram page, Yomi Fabiyi showed support for the solidarity walk as he reposted the announcement.
