You cannot wish this county well and vote for someone you don’t believe in – VP Yemi Osinbajo
Vice President Yemi Olajo advised APC Presidential Primary Delegates to Vote Rightly. He stressed that they can’t wish the county well and vote for someone they don’t believe in.
Osinbajo, who was the last to address delegates, said:
“I am Nigerian. I was born here. My parents were also born here. I went to school there. It has been my home for all of my adult life.
It is impossible to wish the country well while voting for someone you don’t trust. Our dear delegates, vote tonight and be certain that you voted for someone you don’t believe in.
These past weeks have been a journey that took me across this country. We have had many discussions and I have been deeply engaged with you. We have discussed the future of the country together and, by the grace God, I have been Vice President for seven years. I’ve seen firsthand the complexity and nuance of the problems facing our nation.
One thing is certain: our circumstances won’t allow the next leader of the country to learn the job. “I have been fully prepared for the challenge that lies ahead in my seven years as Vice President. I will be ready for it from Day One.” he stated.
