“You go marry man wey old pass your grandfather” – Angela Okorie throws subtle shade
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has sparked controversy with a pointed comment directed at an unnamed individual who married a man much older than herself, comparing him to her grandfather.
The actress remarked in a now-deleted Instagram story post.
Angela asserted that if Nigeria’s economy were in better shape, this person wouldn’t have married a man significantly older than her grandfather. She also criticized the individual for advising Nigerians while failing to follow it herself.
Her words: “Nigeria good na him you go marry man wey old pass your grandfather. You won advice Nigerians but you no advice yourself rubbish.”
Many netizens in the comment section suggested that her statement was directed at her colleague, Regina Daniels, who is the sixth wife of billionaire businessman, Ned Nwoko.
It is worth noting that Regina Daniels had come out to caution Nigerians to opt for a peaceful protest during the just-concluded End Bad Governance protest.
