“You need BBL to get roles in Nollywood – Bayray Nwizu
Nollywood actress Eberechukwu Bayray Nwizu has revealed that a Brazilian Butt Lift, abbreviated as BBL, has become a prerequisite for landing roles in Nollywood.
In her recent appearance on TVC’s Wake Up Nigeria, Nwizu highlighted that BBL has emerged as one of the criteria for women seeking roles in Nigeria’s film industry, as per some producers’ requirements.
She emphasized that while the Nigerian film industry has witnessed significant growth in financial resources and infrastructure over time, there has been a decline in the appreciation of raw talent.
Producers, she noted, now lean towards social media influencers to boost their movie projects.
Nwizu underscored the importance of producers aiming for profitability while also maintaining a balance in considering talent.
Nwizu said, “Ten years ago, it was you’re not fair enough, you’re not tall enough, you’re not full enough; now it’s you don’t have BBL.
“The good news is that now you don’t have to conform to them. You can take advantage of any of the streaming platforms, start creating your own content, and grow. We don’t have any excuses anymore. There are always going to be those who say, you have to do this to be in my movie.”
