Young Gazans hope for peace in new year as war with Israel goes on
Young Palestinians expressed their desire for a return to normalcy in 2024 during interviews with the BBC.
They conveyed a strong wish for the ongoing conflict with Israel, initiated by the Hamas attack on October 7, to come to an end.
The initial Hamas attack resulted in approximately 1,200 casualties in southern Israel, with an additional 240 individuals taken hostage.
Since that time, the Gaza Strip has witnessed over 21,000 casualties, as reported by the health ministry under Hamas’s administration.
