“You’re not an oppressor” – Very Dark Man queries Burnaboy to release Speed Darlington
News of Speed Darlington’s arrest has quickly gone viral, with Very Dark Man addressing the situation in a video.
In his statement, Very Dark Man began by asserting that Burna Boy is not an oppressor, and if he was indeed responsible for Darlington’s arrest, he should release him.
He urged Burna Boy not to emulate politicians who misuse their power to oppress vulnerable individuals.
Furthermore, Very Dark Man suggested that instead of involving the police, Burna Boy should have pursued a civil case against Speed Darlington. He added that Burna Boy could easily hire the best lawyer in Nigeria, making police involvement unnecessary.
Very Dark Man also said that although he’s advocating for Speed Darlington’s release, the singer has also not been nice towards him, as he has made several unkind statements towards him, but he has ignored them.
The take Very Dark Man gave about Speed Darlington and Burnaboy’s situation spurred a lot of reactions online, and Kemi Filani was able to streamline some.
