Yul Edochie prays for those wishing him evil for shunning Junior Pope’s death
Nollywood actor and former presidential aspirant, Yul Edochie, has addressed criticism he received for not publicly mourning the passing of his colleague, Junior Pope.
Previously, Yul Edochie faced backlash for expressing joy over the survival of TC Okafor, a survivor of the Anam River accident in which Junior Pope tragically lost his life. On his Instagram page, Yul congratulated Okafor for escaping death and offered prayers for his recovery.
In response, many followers criticized Yul for not acknowledging Junior Pope’s death with a post of condolence. Some suggested that Yul’s apparent disregard stemmed from alleged disagreements between Junior Pope and him, particularly relating to Yul’s marriage to Judy Austin.
In reply to the negative comments and even death wishes, Yul shared a message emphasizing his commitment to maintaining a pure heart and not wishing harm upon others. He expressed confidence that those who harbor ill will towards him will ultimately face their own consequences.
“As long as your heart is clean and you do not wish your fellow human evil….whoever wishes you evil will be put to shame. Amen”.
