Zlatan’s baby mama reacts to viral video of son calling street kids ‘bad boys’
Renowned singer Zlatan Ibile’s baby mama, Davita Lamai, responds to the criticism directed at her baby daddy after their son called street hawkers ‘bad boys.’
This followed a viral video showing Zlatan’s son being startled by street kids who rushed towards the car, cheering for the singer.
While some viewed the video as amusing, others criticized the Zanku singer for not correcting his son’s perception of the street boys.
Davita Lamai took to Instagram to address the situation and defend Zlatan.
In a lengthy note, she wrote;
”When it’s your own child please allow them to get down from the car in that traffic and greet those boys one by one! Same boys that will mount your car, damage your car and bang on the windows if you give them chance. As you give 1 money the rest will come and violently harass you.
“Even me as an adult if I’m driving alone and those boys crowd my car in traffic and start looking through the window l am scared. What exactly is the teachable moment there? SMH
“My son is the most compassionate and caring and friendly boy ever to the point that when we finally permanently moved to lagos I’m the one that had to make him scared of people because he will follow anyone and everyone.
“That’s the reason why he’s scared now because I had to put that fear in him to protect him until he’s old enough to know for himself who is good and who is bad.
T”ill then everyone is a stranger and BAD unless mummy or daddy say otherwise. Please it’s not about being compassionate towards those less fortunate it’s about safety in a country we all know is extremely insecure.”
