6 Reasons to Add Strength Training to Your Workout Plan

Strength Training

Do you admire great physique and long to feel better in general, to have strong bones, to lose weight, and to have a healthy heart all at once? Then you need to start doing strength training in order to enjoy all these benefits. Strength training, also referred to as weight or resistance training, is a physical activity intended to enhance muscular fitness by working out a particular muscle or muscle group against external resistance, such as free weights, weight machines, or your own body weight.

Strength training is not preserved exclusively for bodybuilders lifting in the gym; rather, it is good for people of all ages, and it is even better for those with health issues like obesity, heart conditions, and arthritis. To supplement the strength training in keeping fit, you could consider taking some anabolic steroids, like Dostinex. Although dostinex effets secondaires may manifest after its use, you can manage them with good guidance, and you will achieve your fitness goals.

The following are some benefits of strength training:

  1.      Strength training helps to keep your weight in check

Although strength training does not burn as many calories as aerobic exercises during the actual workout, it continues torching calories long after you have stopped working out or lifting weights. It thus increases your resting metabolism.

  1.      Strength training makes you stronger and fitter

This is the most outright benefit of strength training. The resistance training helps you to carry out your daily activities, especially as old age catches up with you and muscle loss starts occurring naturally.

  1.      Protecting the health of bones and muscle mass

It is estimated that the body starts losing 1 percent of muscle and bone strength every year after puberty for both men and women. Incorporating strength training to your workouts helps to stop, prevent, and even reverse muscle and bone loss.

  1.      Strength training raises energy levels and puts you in a good mood

Strength training increases your level of endorphins (hormones produced by the brains), which makes you feel great. Furthermore, resistance training has been found to be a wonderful anti-depressant, to help you enjoy sound sleep, and to play a crucial role in enhancing your general quality of life.

  1.      Helps improve your body mechanics

It has been found that strength training helps to maintain your balance, posture, and coordination.  It emerged from one study that strength training helped to minimize the risk of falling among older people by about 40 percent, compared to people who did not take part in strength training exercises. Due to poor physical functioning, older people are at a higher risk of falling with severe consequences, but this can be reduced by strength training.

  1.      Plays a crucial role in disease prevention and  management

Studies have led to the findings of the many health advantages of strength training, and among them is helping to manage the conditions emanating from chronic diseases. For example, for those suffering from arthritis, resistance training may help to lessen the pain.
