Nollywood actor Charles Inojie has sparked reactions by sharing an intriguing photo while congratulating the newly elected Edo State Governor.
According to earlier reports, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of Saturday’s Edo State governorship election.
The returning officer, Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta, announced that the APC candidate secured 291,667 votes, defeating Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 247,274 votes. Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP) placed third with 22,763 votes. Kuta, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, stated that the APC won the majority in 11 out of the state’s 18 local government areas, while the PDP led in seven.
In response to the news, Charles shared a photo of the Governor-elect kneeling before a superior, while offering his congratulations. He also prayed for God to grant the Governor-elect the courage to remain loyal to the people of Edo State.
