Billboard recognition: Davido and Lojay’s songs make the 2024 honor roll
Afrobeat artists Davido and Lojay have gained global recognition as their music tops the Billboard charts. Between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024, both artists recorded songs that earned a spot on the Billboard Honour Roll, which highlights chart-topping tracks across R&B and hip-hop.
Davido and Lojay were recognized for their contributions to Chris Brown’s song “Sensational,” which reached No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay Chart. Davido and Chris Brown have built a strong partnership, collaborating on multiple tracks, including their latest song “Hmm” from Chris Brown’s 11th album, 11:11.
Chris Brown has also become a major influence in the Afrobeats scene, collaborating with numerous Nigerian artists on various significant projects.
The American R&B star was tapped by Lojay for the remix of his hit single ‘Monalisa’ which further rocketed the song to commercial success.
