“Davido is the least arrogant among his peers” – Patrick Doyle
Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has commended Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, for his exceptional humility despite his impressive background and status.
In a Facebook post, Doyle expressed admiration for Davido’s ability to remain composed and dignified, even in the face of criticism from his peers.
He noted that while Davido is often seen as flashy and bold, given the nature of the entertainment industry, he is, at his core, respectful and humble.
“He is perhaps the least arrogant of his peers, even when he has the credentials to be the most arrogant, given the aristocracy of his antecedents compared to his street-raised peers,” Doyle wrote.
The actor attributed Davido’s humility to traits inherited from his father, a billionaire business mogul known for his modesty. Doyle also praised the musician for his willingness to accept corrections from elders and his refusal to engage in public feuds.
He added, “I have also noticed his attitude towards them and the relentless attacks. For the most part, he has maintained a calm disposition and a reluctance to engage his adversaries. I find this commendable, and I imagine it is an inherited trait from his father who, though a business mogul, is possibly the most self-effacing billionaire around.
“The young man, on the other hand, appears to be flashy and brash at first look. However, showbusiness, his vocation, demands he be that way.”
