Femi Adebayo on why he slapped his father on movie set
Famous Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo recently shared a candid revelation about a confrontation with his father, Oga Bello.
In an interview, Adebayo recounted an incident on the set of the 2008 film ‘Taiwo Taiwo,’ where he slapped his father, Adebayo Salami, also known as Oga Bello.
During a scene where he played a notorious armed robber, Adebayo was directed to break into a man’s residence to rob his father. When his father refused to hand over the money, Femi, caught up in the moment, subconsciously slapped him.
Adebayo admitted that the slap was not part of the script and expressed regret afterwards. He explained that he was trying to enhance his portrayal of the character.
Despite the unexpected action, he revealed that he apologized to his father, who interestingly praised him, stating that if he hadn’t hit him, he would have been in trouble.
