During a recent interview on the “Is This Seat Taken” podcast, Fireboy shared that meeting Wande Coal felt like a dream come true, as he never imagined he would one day meet someone he holds in such high regard.

“It was a dream at first meeting Wande Coal. I become a child when he is around. He is a legend. So that [meeting him] was a blessing and a surreal moment.”
Fireboy credited Wande Coal as a key inspiration for pursuing music, acknowledging the significant role he played in shaping his artistic journey.
Fireboy DML had also honored Wande Coal’s legacy by dedicating a track titled ‘Wande’s Song’ to him on his fourth studio album, ‘Adedamola’.
