Mr Ibu’s funeral arrangement banner surfaces online
The funeral arrangements for the esteemed veteran actor, John Ikechukwu Okafor, fondly remembered as Mr. Ibu, have emerged online.
Reports from Gistreel confirm that Mr. Ibu passed away on March 2, 2024, following a prolonged battle with illness and the subsequent amputation of his leg. He was 63 years old.
His family announced that Mr. Ibu will be laid to rest in his hometown of Amuri, situated in the Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, as per their statement released on April 13.
On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, a unique procession will honor Mr. Ibu, bridging the worlds of Nollywood and Rangers International. Following this, Mr. Ibu’s Candlelight Procession will be held on the succeeding day.
On June 27, there will be a Christian wake service at Eziokwe Amuri, Enugu State. The next day, his body would be taken from the Eastern Nigerian Medical Center to his birthplace for burial.
