Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has addressed the buzz surrounding her staged proposal with her boyfriend, Xxssive.
In a viral video shared yesterday, Xxssive, her partner of over three years, was seen proposing to Nkechi, placing a ring on her finger and blowing her a kiss. The clip quickly gained attention online.
Reacting to the incident via her Instagram story, Nkechi questioned whether online critics weren’t the same ones who often advise people to marry their best friends.
Amid the mixed reactions to the proposal, Nkechi clarified on Instagram that the engagement was not real. She explained that the venue featured in the video was part of a contract she secured as an event planner. According to her, the proposal scene was the first engagement event she had ever organized.
Reflecting on the year 2024, Nkechi expressed gratitude for the numerous blessings she has received, stating that she is unashamed to publicly thank God for them.
She is hopeful that the coming year will favour her brand.

The movie star, via her Instagram page, shared new photos of herself as she revealed her plans to relocate to the sky. A netizen questioned where her boyfriend, Xxssive, was, and Nkechi Blessing hit back, stating that if he lived anywhere close to him, then he should go to his house as he is right there. She slammed him for looking for her boyfriend on Instagram.
