Trouble looms as Elvis Poko gives Portable 24-hour ultimatum to refund after contract breach
Nigerian comedy star, actor, and singer Elvis Poko has given the controversial musician Portable 24 hours to refund his money after Portable breached a contract by failing to appear at a music concert.
Elvis Poko issued the ultimatum on his Instagram page, informing Portable that he does not intend to involve the police in the matter.
Portable was scheduled to perform at Elvis Poko’s event, “Elvis Poko Waterside Boy Tour Live In Concert,” in Warri, Delta State, on June 30. However, the ‘Zazoo’ singer did not show up and has yet to refund the payment he allegedly received.
In his post, Elvis mentioned that he has instructed his lawyers not to seek any damages or compensation for the losses incurred due to Portable’s absence.
He noted that he is a real-life person and has given the street-hop singer 24 hours to refund him.
Elvis wrote:
“I personally instructed my Lawyers to not lay any claims for damages or compensations . I’m not your friend, I paid you in full . Your invoices and confirmation videos plus apology texts from you & your team are with Bar OJ . I’m not a social media person . I don’t chase clout on social media. I’m a real life person. Ogbeni I am giving you 24 hours to refund my money in full . I won’ t talk about this again !”
He added: “@portablebaeby @babyluvgram let it be on record, so the earth can bear me witness. I’m not going to court and I’m not getting the police involved as well. I need nothing off you, payback what I paid you… 24 hours is all you got.”
