Wumi Toriola breaks 7 boundaries with cinema debut
Nollywood star Wumi Toriola has achieved remarkable success with her cinema debut, Queen Lateefah, breaking seven significant records.
Taking to Instagram, Wumi shared a post highlighting the milestones her movie has attained. Queen Lateefah set records as the highest-grossing Nollywood release during a non-festive period, achieved the highest opening weekend for a non-holiday season, became the 7th highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time, and claimed the title of the highest-grossing September release ever, among others.
Expressing gratitude to her fans, Wumi thanked them for their incredible support and turnout, which contributed to the film’s box office success. She acknowledged their unwavering love and dedication that helped Queen Lateefah reach these impressive heights.
The movie has grossed over 360 million naira at the box office.
